A Side Quest Appears
So I'm attending the TON of demos tonight and trying to work on new business cards. I am stepping out of the comfort zone to use FreeCAD to generate the multi-colour print.
New Business Cards
The older business cards were "fine" but I really wanted to print them smooth - no raised text. Just a clean print.
I opened up the old 'tinkercad' page and played with that for a bit but it wasn't aligning as nicely as I had hoped for.
So now, it's back to FreeCAD and trying out the sketching workbench and seeing if I can get something working over lunch.
gRPC learning.
This was good - wrote some more tests and started adding some meat and potatoes to the code in the server. Test writing first is doing great.
I had a few hiccups at first but now it's working great with a successful test case run.
Jenkins Build Triggered from commit.
Pain in the butt to be honest - should have been far simpler, but managed to get it to work near the end of the day.
Email configuration.
Emails are now being sent to my local dovecot setup and mutt is reading the email. I used both the "test" email as well as an email sent by "build now" success!
Sending Results to influxDB.
Jenkins has an influxDB plugin - just installed it and configuring it. If it works, all of that data will get sent there.
That was relatively painless - I have it reporting data into my influxDB and the display there is fine - I'll do up grafana later.
I am marking my previous day's objectives as a success!
